2021 Internship Fund
$2,838.00 Raised
Goal: $20,000.00
Our province has faced an oil price crash, an economic downturn, an overbearing federal government, and to top it all off, a global pandemic and restrictions on our freedom and liberties none of us could have predicted just a few years ago.
Yet, through it all, we have remained strong as a Province, and the Alberta Institute has grown stronger.
If anything, in difficult times like these, having strong civil society organizations like ours is even more vital than ever.
I strongly believe that our work promoting freedom, choice, free markets, and even basic civil liberties like freedom of assembly, freedom of movement, freedom of association, privacy, and due process, are more important than ever before.
- Now, more than ever, we need new ideas for Alberta,
- Now, more than ever, we must teach people to think critically, rationally, and carefully,
- Now, more than ever, we should remember the value of a small healthy distrust of authority and centralized power,
- Now, more than ever, we must treasure our freedoms and fight to protect them, and
- Now, more than ever, we must grow our movement and create the next generation of leaders.
That's why I'm incredibly pleased to announce the launch of the Alberta Institute's 2021 Internship Program.
Our internship program is now entering its third year, and every year, it just gets better and better.
We've selected our 2021 interns, and I very much look forward to introducing you to them in the coming weeks, but now we have to raise some money to pay for the program!
Our internship program isn't your typical coffee-fetching administrative role, we expect our interns to conduct real public policy research, publish their findings, and work to make real change happen, and our past interns have a history of doing exactly that.
If you agree with our mission to advance personal freedom and choice in Alberta, wish to support the next generation of thinkers and can afford to help fund this work, please consider making a donation to our 2021 Internship Fund.
We need to raise $20,000 ($10,000 x2 interns) to cover their entire summer program, in which they will work on a wide variety of municipal, provincial, and federal ideas and campaigns.
Please consider helping us out by making a contribution.
If you would prefer to donate via cheque, our mailing address is:
Alberta Institute
Suite 918 - 1811 4 Street SW
Calgary, AB, T2S 1W2
If you're not in a position to make a larger contribution, would you instead consider signing up to make a smaller recurring monthly donation to provide the Alberta Institute with greater financial stability?
Thank you to every last one of you for your ongoing support, whether that be through financial contributions, volunteering your time, spreading our ideas on social media, or any of the myriad other ways our thousands of supporters help us every day.
Together, we're making a difference in Alberta, and if you'd like to help us keep up the fight for better public policy, please get involved!
