Sensible cuts must be made. These do not automatically have to come on the shoulders of essential services, and nor do automatic tax increases solve the problem. You were elected to effectively and efficiently manage the City. So many are struggling under increasing costs and taxes. Find other ways – you know they exist.

There are many places to cut expenses such as million dollar bike lanes in the East Village, inefficient snow removal and millions of dollars on signs to change speed limits.

I’ve absolutely had it with this city council. Tax and spend tax and spend ad nauseum … double gold plated pensions and a bureaucracy that earns more and does less than 98% of the working people in this city. Disgusting!

Everyone is taking pay cuts and minimizing expenses and costs. Council needs to lead by taking a 5% paycut with more to follow.

Absolutely no tax hike and city officials have to take a wage cut. Now you are doing your job.
